The gap was too big

The FCG lost in Castres (29-13)

The challenge was difficult in Tarn. Against the French champions, the Grenoble team were looking for their first win of the season.

The FCG had made a good start to the match, despite a try by Rallier (7-0, 8'). The Grenoble team had come back to 1 point thanks to two penalties from Gaëtan Germain (7-6, 26'). But after a lost line-out and then an offside on an opponent's candle, the "Rouge & Bleu" conceded two tries on a carried ball (22-6, 40')

The Grenoble side had an opportunity to score early in the second half, but it was the Castrais who finally made the difference (29-6, 51').

With a little more possession thanks to a cleaner line-out and an sovereign scrum, the "Rouge & Bleu" ran into the solid defense of the French champions for a long time before bending it thanks to the power of Ali Oz (29-13, 64')

The match became disjointed at the end of the game, after Victor Moreaux's yellow card in particular. The Grenoble team have tried hard, but are back from Castres with 0 points.

The FCG will nevertheless be able to learn from this defeat against the French champions, one week before receiving the other promoted, Perpignan, at the Stade des Alpes next Saturday.
