Bastien Guillemin talks about the start of the FCG season, physical preparation, the integration of recruits and the prospect of playing with his brother

How is this pre-season preparation going?

"Listen, nickel. We attacked two weeks ago. We did conditioning, strength training. We've been back in rugby for a while. It is a pleasure. After that, we had some new players who arrived. We met them. We tried to integrate them as best we could. And it's going really well so far. »

Do you feel comfortable in this time of year?

"It's an evil for a good. When you're a rugby player, you like the ball. Now we're just doing a little physical stuff. After that, I like it more. Like Lucas Dupont, etc., we're trying to get the hell out of here, it's pretty cool. »

Is the relegation evacuated?

"Completely. Most of the players, we went on vacation for two weeks right after that. Have at least a week's vacation. We tried to cut as much as we could. It felt pretty good for us. That's what we had to do, cut and look forward to next season. And let's have a good season. »

How is the integration of recruits going?

"As I told you, frankly, great. The recruits are all nice. We don't have to worry about it. We're trying to pick up where we left off. Then we'll see. But we're looking forward to getting started, first of all. »

Many young people do this preparation with you.

"Eight or nine. Eight or nine young people. (There is your brother in particular) Yes, there is my brother. It's a little kid's dream. Since we were kids, we've been trying to say to ourselves: "If one day we can play pro..." Okay, now we're training, but it's already huge. I hope that later on, after that, we'll have a game. Or the next season. I don't know. I don't know. He will see. He doesn't have to worry about it. I said, "Practice, take the opportunity, you'll see..." But that's great! »
