On the occasion of Pink October, the Amazons as CCF sponsors will carry out various actions to raise awareness of breast cancer among the general public. Already last year, the Amazons mobilized to create an awareness clip.

Participation in the opening of the exhibition of the Venus project at Michallon Hospital. Project to raise women's awareness of breast cancer prevention through art and solidarity.

The Venus project consists of 4 steps:

A photo shooting takes place in the spring. Women volunteer to put their bare chests in front of the camera lens. The photographs are then printed on canvas and used to support the artistic creations of the artists and women who participate in the workshops.
The objective of the workshops is to bypass the taboos surrounding breast cancer health and screening, and also to offer times for collective exchanges with the presence of health professionals. These workshops are being set up in Isère and the Rhône with social and associative partners.
In parallel with the workshops, committed artists take photoshooting shots to create works of art.

Exhibitions bring together the works of workshop participants and artists to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention. The diversity of the works on display is an invitation for each spectator to feed their thoughts on health.
Like a fireworks display, a charity auction of Venus' works closes each edition. This event takes place at the end of the year. The profits are donated to two associations to give a financial boost to women with breast cancer.
During the Women's Rugby Festival held at Lesdiguières stadium last May, the Amazons had the honour of hosting the CCF and the Venus project on an awareness stand. During this day, the artist Boye created a live painting, a work dedicated by the Amazons and available at the next auction of the Venus project.

At the end of the day, the rugbywomen will participate in a Qi Gong class (traditional Chinese gymnastics) at the hospital, a class shared with the patients of the cancer centre.

An introduction to rugby 5 (rugby to touch) will be given by the Amazons to patients at the women's cancer centre. A 2-hour session, at the Bachelard stage, developed with the physiotherapist at the centre and adapted for women with cancer or in remission.

13.10

A member of the staff of the women's cancer centre gave a fictional kick-off during the match between the Elite 1 Amazons and Bobigny. An awareness stand will be set up throughout the match.

Throughout the month of October

The 2 senior teams will wear a pink t-shirt with the Venus project and CCF logo during the warm-ups.
