The FCG took victory last season against La Rochelle at Stade des Alpes (39-23)
The match was tight early on, but it was the elusive Botia who scored the first points and the first try of the game. Just before halftime, Jonathan Wisniewski allows Grenoble to equalize with a try. Then Xavier Mignot, following a magnificent job of Rory Grice, marks a second trial for « Rouge & Bleu » on the siren.
In the second half Jonathan Wisniewski scored a second try by quickly playing a penalty. Xavier Mingot then also marks a second personal try. Forbes scores a second try for la Rochelle and put in danger the Grenoble bonus, but Walter Desmaison finalized an action of his forwards by signing the fifth try of the FCG.
The Grenoble finally prevail 39-23.
