Several players of the LOU and the FCG wore the shirt of the other club.

Among the most recent, Albertus Buckle and Fabrice Estebanez have both joined the other club in the summer of 2015: the South African prop left the FCG for the LOU, which came down in Pro D2, while Fabrice Estebanez did the opposite change.

Another current FCG player wore the jersey of Lyon, it is Fabien Gengenbacher. The full back of Grenoble has evolved in Lyon during the 2005-2006 season. He played 20 games in Pro D2, before engaging with the FCG.

Julien Puricelli, began his professionnal carreer with the FCG, after starting rugby with Echirolles. He wears the "Red & Blue" jersey from 2003 to 2005. After playing with Castres and Bayonne, he joined Lyon in 2014.

Later in time, several players have worn the jersey of both teams. Include Laurent Burg, Laurent Leflamand, Gilles Delaigue, Lionel Mallier and Alexander Chazalet. George Brun was a manager of the LOU and the coach of the FCG in the 60s. Gaston Valois, former player, coach and president of the FCG, was also the skipp of the LOU after the First World War.
