Fabrice Estebanez will make his come back on the field Saturday at the Stade des Alpes. He talks about his convalescence and his ambitions for the club.
After nearly two months without playing, you necessarily eager to find land in the Top 14?
"For the mind is sure it will do good. I had prepared a lot during the offseason, I paid attention during the holiday period, because I wanted to be fit for the start of the season. But after the fifth minute the French stage, the knee gave out. I am very happy to return, even if I know I'll have difficult times Saturday."
You stayed close to the group during your wound.
"I bothers me very fast, so I asked the coaches if they needed me on some records. I just gave a hand to try to help the team and for me not to remain cut off from the group."
How did you experience the club's start to the season from the stands?
"It's even harder. When you're on the field, you screw things you can try. Besides, you're inactive, you suffered. You want to help friends, to help the club. But you make sure to come back on Monday with a smile, that they ought to move on, keep working. I think we have our say in this championship, it is not for us. There are many things that happen to us now, with these wounded repeatedly. One is 19, it starts to get a little bit, but that there also falls. It's hard times in a year to live, in a club season. You have to manage them properly, but especially not to demobilize and stay focused. "
On Saturday against Pau's game will be capital. Can the FCG rely on the reference match against Brive?
"I do not know if this is a reference match. On the fight, the determination, yes. This match against Pau is super important. You have to take this very seriously paloise team because they have players of very high level, some of which are the world's best.We must remain humble. It is last, no lessons to give to anybody. Let's do it right. If one is present in the fight and determination, we can afford to do something very beautiful Saturday."
