Press release FC Grenoble Rugby

Kalolo Tuiloma will not be allowed to play in France

It is with regret that the FC Grenoble Rugby has to announce that Kalolo Tuiloma will not be able to participate in the competitions organized by the LNR or the FFR.

Indeed, he has not successfully passed all the regulatory medical tests imposed by the Ligue Nationale de Rugby. Any contract approval must be linked to these preliminary tests. There are 5 of them (Blood Balance, Electrocardiogram, Stress Test, Cardiac Ultrasound and Cervical MRI). Unfortunately, the last of these tests revealed anomalies making it according to the referential adopted by the medical committee LNR / FFR unfit to the practice of rugby in competition. The Committee of Medical Experts mandated by this body confirmed this contraindication.

An observation that may seem surprising since the player played, a few weeks ago, a ½ final Mitre 10 Cup. This is due to the regulation of our championships, which is more rigorous than in other countries, which makes it a point of honor to protect the physical integrity of players at the highest level.

Today the FCG wants above all to think of Kalolo Tuiloma and his family for whom this project to join Grenoble and play for the FCG was a true life project.

We will accompany as best as possible the player in this difficult situation while projecting us on the future deadlines of our club.
