FCG wins an important victory against Paris

After a bad start, the FCG woke up and signed a prominent victory against Stade Français (44-22)

The game would not have started worse for the "Rouge & Bleu". Upon returning to play, Jonathan Wisniewski returns the ball to the Parisians, who raise. Waisea escapes a tackle and sends his winger Julien Arias in the try zone (0-5, 1 '). Worse, a few minutes later, on an innocuous foot release, the ball bounces to Sinzelle, who scores a second try for Stade Français (0-12, 8 ').

After two penalties transformed by Jonathan Wisniewski (6-12, 17 '), Fabrice Estebanez concedes a yellow card, which allows Plisson to pass a penalty (6-15, 21'). Paradoxically, the 14 Grenoble will wake up. Arnaud Héguy is at the conclusion of a big drive ball (13-15, 25 '). Rory Grice, then Xavier Mignot had thought to score, but the referee refused the two tries of the FCG. Meanwhile, Wisniewski passed a new penalty, allowing the FCG to be ahead at halftime (16-15)

The second half is particularly dominated by the FCG players. On two scrums, the fronts of the FCG obtain penalties, converted by its fly-half (22-15, 50 '). On another scrum, the "Rouge & Bleu" pack recovers the ball and sends Fabrice Estebanez after the try line (27-15, 55 ').

The Parisians will then benefit from a strong time but, again, the forwards of the FCG save the line, perfectly defending a maul, and then obtaining a new penalty on scrum.

After the yellow card taken by Pascal Papé after a very bad tackle on Gio Aplon, the FCG widened the gap by a penalty and then a new try of Mignot (37-17, 71 '). Chris Farrell then marks the 4th try of the FCG after having pierced the defense (44-15, 76 '). It remains a few moments to play and the Grenoblois will try to extract the bonus. But on the dismissal, Paris takes advantage of the defensive disorganization of the FCG to score (44-22, 79 ').

With this victory, the FCG has the right to hope. The next meeting will take place in Pau in mid-February.
