Grenoble hires Pierre Maïau

The tighthead prop of the Racing 92 has signed for the FCG

Pierre Maïau will the FCG for the next 2 seasons. The solid tighthead prop of 22 years (1.80 m for 145kg) plays mainly with the Espoirs of the Racing 92.

He played two games in Top 14 last season with the "Sky & White".

Pierre Maïau told us his career and explained his choice to join Grenoble: "I started rugby a few years ago in Lagny-sur-Marne in the 77. I made a few selections and I was able to join French Stadium. I then went to Racing92, with whom I played until today. We were particularly champion of France with the Hopes. I played a little last year with the pros (quarter-final of the Top14), but I needed to find a real game time. Bernard Jackman came to see me a few months ago was the First time that a professional coach really took the time to talk with me about a game project, about training, about my future and my progress as a player. His speech seduced me. I was looking for a club like Grenoble that would allow me to play, to progress, but with ambition. It is therefore with immense pleasure that I will be Grenoble next year. "
