Etienne Dussartre is one of three players to have committed this week with the FCG for the next season.
You just signed your contract with the FCG for the next season, what are your first sensations?
"I am very happy to sign for Grenoble. I've been at Racing 92 for a long time, since the age of 16 actually. I played a lot last year, but this season is more complicated. It is really difficult for a young player to make a place for himself. Recovering playing time, a club that I think is solid and with a big project, it was my priority. I think that Grenoble is the ideal project and club for me. I'm really happy. "
What convinced you to come to Grenoble?
"I met James Hart, who praised the club, how to work in Grenoble. I met Bernard Jackman in November when we confronted the FCG. I was very pleased with his speech. He explained to me the project he wanted to put in place and the policy of the club that wants to rely on the formation in the future. His project to relaunch young players who do not play in the "big" clubs. I really adhered to that speech.
Does the sporting situation of the FCG worry you?
"The Racing 92 is a club that has played the first roles for several seasons, but, I must be objective, I do not have the shoulders to have a big place in this kind of club yet. I still have everything to prove, everything to do. I am aware that my formation is not over. Being able to play with Grenoble in Top 14 would be great, but if it should be in Pro D2, it is not a brake and it is also good. You know, my only desire is to touch the ball, play! "
Do you already know the city, your teammates?
"Not really, but I can not wait. My father studied in Grenoble and told me a lot of good things about it. I was close to Walter (Desmaison) at Racing 92 and I was in the Pole France with Loick Jammes. I also know a little Clément Gelin because we are the same age and we met on the pitch. "
A little word for your future teammates and Grenoble fans?
"Every time I see the Grenoble matches I am almost disappointed for them because I see an exceptional state of mind. They never let go of games ... it does not matter, but for now it does not go in the right way. When I see the game that is practiced, the FCG is really badly paid. For the fan of rugby that I am, to see this beautiful rugby and such a debauch of energy, it is a shame, but sincerely as long as there is hope it is necessary to believe, really, unitel the end. "
