The FCG in Pau to continue to believe

The Top 14 resumes this weekend

After a three-week truce, for the start of the Six Nations Championshop, the Top 14 resumes its rights this weekend. For the FCG, it is a trip to Pau that is on the schedule. At 10 points from Lyon, the "Rouge & Bleu" must quickly win awat to catch up with his competitors before the end of the championship.

The challenge will be difficult in Béarn: after their victory against the LOU in a late game played last Sunday, the Palois are sixth in the standings. Simon Mannix players hope to be one of the surprises of the final stages of the Top 14 at the end of the season. The Section Paloise has been virtually rescued and has won five consecutive league games since the beginning of December: victory against Clermont (40-25), victory against Montpellier (32-27), victory in Bordeaux (16-18) Toulouse (10-20), victory against Lyon (38-15). Pau is in an ascending form, like its pack of forwards and its prop Malik Hamadache, author of a great game against les Lyonnais.

But les Grenoblois also show that they are improving, thanks to the contribution of their main players, back from injury, like Hendrik Roodt or Rory Grice, stratospheric during the victory of the FCG against the Stade Français. The "Rouge & Bleu" will have to confirm their performance against Stade Français, especially in the scum, in hopes of bringing down the Hameau, where Toulouse, Bordeaux and Toulon won at the start of the championship. The Grenoblois will also have a little revenge after the first leg, where they had lost by a point (38-39), after a penalty scored on the buzzer by Tom Taylor.

After this match, the FCG will have another free weekend, before a particularly important month of March, with 3 games to play at the Stade des Alpes.
