Before the derby, focus on partnership between the Amazones and AS Fontaine

  • Amazones

The Rugby School between the Amazones and the AS Fontaine has existed for more than 10 years

To continue developing and offering a training structure for young girls, AS Fontaine and the Amazons decided to unite to create a mixed rugby school. This project was realized in 2002 with the unfailing dedication of Nicolas Carella and the president of the rugby school of AS Fontaine. Since this first agreement, the school of rugby Fontaine / Sassenage is recognized by its formation and its reception of the girls with the creation of a vestary specifies feminine for example.

Elodie Fazio, trained in the rally, was the first player to be selected in France (U20) in 2012 against England, a beautiful recognition of the Sassenago-Fontainoise training and the dedication of the educators.

This gathering thus allows this season for twenty young ladies to practice their passion at the rugby school Fontaine / Sassenage. The women's framing is ensured by Ylona Frachet (U6), Sabrina Cabaleiro (U8), Delphine Moiroud (U8), Perrine Nantier (U8) and Mallaury Chatron (U15).

For the Amazons, it is always an honor to play every season, a French championship game at the Pierre de Coubertin Stadium. Even more this season, when there will be two big games in Fontaine: the clash between Cadettes and Romagnat on Saturday and the derby between the Amazons and the GUC Sunday!
