FC Grenoble Rugby is happy to present the staff for the 2017-2018 season
FC Grenoble Rugby has been working for several weeks to develop the staff of the club's professional team for the upcoming season. The club's leaders wished with this staff to reaffirm what the DNA of rugby Grenoble had to be. For this reason, they have associated Franck Corrihons in his reflections as a consultant who also becomes Technical Director with a transversal mission throughout the club. They have assembled native skills at the FCG and external know-how, to establish a sports team that bears the values of the club, our city and our regional identity.
We are therefore pleased to announce that, from next season, the sports management of the professional team we have set up consists of:
- Stéphane Glas, coach of the back lines, also in charge of the collective offensive animation
- Dewald Senekal trainer for fronts and contact areas
- Cyril Villain in charge of defense and video
- Jérôme Vernay trainer of technical skills and director of the training center
- Johnny Claxton will take charge of physical training and will be assisted by Patrick Chassaing and Benjamin Simon Cote (also a physical trainer at the training center)
- Andrew Farley remaining the Rugby Operations Manager
They have already participated in finalizing the latest recruitments and starting to bring some ideas for reflection on next season.
Through these decisions, we clearly want to continue building a solid, sustainable, shared project, aiming to put the team back in the prospect of returning to the top French rugby elite as soon as possible.
We therefore welcome Stéphane, Dewald and Johnny, thanking them for their confidence in our project, and for us, the 2017-2018 season has already begun.
