With 4 starts in as many games, the lock of South Africa Francois Uys did not delay to impose his experience in the pack Grenoble
How do you judge the beginning of the season of the FCG?
"Last weekend was a bit disappointing. There are a lot of things we could control, but we have not controlled well. This week, we want to achieve a good performance in front of our public at the Stade des Alpes. We can not wait to be there. It will be a tough game, Béziers is a tough team to play, they can play very well. I think we have a good pace, but there are still many areas where we can do better. "
Did you feel that the group was making progress?
" Yes I think so. Many new players have to adapt to the Pro D2 and how to play in France, especially players who come from elsewhere like me. It's a very physical game, very hard. The forwards we have to carry the ball well, tackle well, these are things to watch out for. There is much more involvement for the forwards, a lot of pressure to perform well. And when the forwards play well, the team goes ahead and wins normally. We will try to do it again to dominate. "
You are surrounded by many young people, even within the pack. Do you feel like their father?
"No, not like their father! I still feel like their teammate. It's good for the team to have such good young players, Grenoble is really lucky to have such good young players. At the moment all the young people, whether they come from the bench or start the games, make the difference. They bring a lot of energy. It's really something we need. And we will need it until the end of the season if we want to qualify for the final stages and, hopefully, to return to Top 14. "
