The full back signed a new contract until 2020
Gervais Cordin signed this week a new contract with the FCG until 2020. The "Rouge & Bleu" full back had arrived at the Grenoble academy in the summer of 2016 from the CS Nuiton in Burgundy.
The 18-year-old played his first professional games this season in Pro D2, after playing with the Crabos and the Espoirs last season. He scored 2 tries in 7 games he has played since the start of the 2017-2018 season.
"I am very happy to continue with the FCG. Grenoble is the club that trusted me and I still have to give it back. I still have a lot to learn. This new contract will allow me to free myself and refocus on the field, "he said.
Andrew Farley welcomed the extension of a new player from the Grenoble academy: "Like all players trained at the club, we are happy to keep him with us. Gervais, like many young players this season, made a good start. He took his chance with the first team. One of the main goals of the club is to have more players trained at the club in the squad. Gervais is a real talent, although he still has a lot to improve. But he has a good state of mind and he will progress very quickly with the coaches, with the group and with the FCG. "
