The FCG wins and is qualified

The FCG hosted Carcassonne at the Stade des Alpes for the 28th day of Pro D2. The USC, saved the day before by the defeat of Dax, had nothing to lose in Isère, but has shown all his willingness to play throughout the game.

The Carcassonnais, exhilarated after the break, quickly scored by Lescalmel and forced the Grenoblois to score twice to take the bonus (23-5, 49 '). But, disorganized by the wounds of Leva Fifita, Lolagi Visinia and Gervais Cordin, the Isèrois struggle to put continuity in their game and do not manage to be dangerous. It's finally Lucas Dupont on a personal exploit, which marks the third try of the FCG (30-5, 75 '). But it will be too late. The FCG will not manage to provide opportunities for its fourth try, which would have been synonymous with bonus.

This victory nevertheless allows the FCG to officially qualify for the finals and to take, at least temporarily, the third place in the ranking. After a weekend break, the Stade des Alpes will host the match between the FCG and Aurillac.
