Théo Nanette will start in Top 14 for the first time this weekend against Bordeaux. He gives us his perspective on this game
Is there a different pressure on your shoulders after the victory over Perpignan?
"Some pressure. Then there are a little less, I think, than Perpignan. It was still the match of the two promoted, so it was an additional pressure. There was also a vengeful side after the final lost last year. So there is an issue that is completely different. Bordeaux is a confirmed Top 14 team, which already does not have the same ambitions as us. So the pressure is different. Anyway, there is no choice. Of all the games, there won't be one where you say to yourself, come on, it doesn't matter to lose it. We try to do our best to win them all. "
A win against Bordeaux would probably allow the FCG to get out of the red zone.
"Sure, with a win, we'd probably get out of the relegation zone. But we know very well that this is anecdotal, because it's still only the beginning of the championship. It would certainly be comfortable to leave this area during the European Cup. Mentally, it would be good, but we know very well that there are still a lot of games to come and a lot of points to take. Beyond that, they are valuable points to earn. If we win them, we won't shout victory, but it will be a relief to the head and mind for the rest of the season. "
How do you see your first start of the season?
"It feels very good. Since the beginning of the season, I've been working a lot, doing what I'm asked. I've integrated well with the players, everything is going well with the team, the system. So when I was told, I was very happy. Now there is only to. And we'll see at the end of the game what comes out of it. "
