The FCG ended its European tour with a defeat on its lawn at the Stade des Alpes against Benetton Treviso (7-39)
In a game without stakes for the "Rouge & Bleu", the Grenoble team was probably in front in all the compartments of the game (touches, scrums, possession), but Treviso showed that it was the best team in Italy and one of the best teams in the Celtic League: an iron defence, big indivudualities and a cold realism.
The Italians won by a wide margin (7-39) and gave themselves a small chance to finish among the top 3 second to qualify. The "Rouge & Bleu" will now be able to focus on the objective of maintaining their top 14 position, with a trip to Toulouse next Sunday, before the international break.
