Brive - FCG : 28-22
The "Rouge & Bleu" will be back on the Pro D2 next season, only one year after leaving it. After a first half where they were rather dominant, but led by two points (14-12), they collapsed in the second half, conceding two tries, without being able to score before the gap was made (28-22)
Under the whistles of his former supporters, Gaëtan Germain had allowed the FCG to lead the game (0-6, then 7-12), the Isèrois, clumsy in defence, took a try at the end of the half, which allowed Brive to enter the dressing room with a 2 point lead (14-12)
In the second half, Brive quickly scored a third attempt (21-12, 45'). The FCG could have come back to the score on a carried ball, but the referee refuses Mike Tadjer's attempt on the video. The Grenoble team, who occupied the opposing camp, only managed to score with a penalty from Gaëtan Germain (21-15, 65').
Unfortunately, the Brivistes took advantage of a ball badly negotiated by the Icelandic players to build a permanent gap (28-15, 75'). Bastien Guillemin will mark an anecdotal try on the siren (28-22, 80').
