The "Rouge & Bleu" are in the middle of their preparation for the 2019-2020 season
While the heat wave to reappear in the Grenoble valley next week, the FCG players will take a step higher on Sunday to find some fresh air on the Val d'Isère side for the pre-season training camp, which will take place in the Alpine valley.
Before this camp, where "rugby will be more present during the day" of the players and staff, the Grenoble players, both old and new, had three weeks, very focused on physical work: "three weeks of preparation that were both progressive and intense," says Robin Panisset, one of the Club's S&C trainers.
The physical preparation team had to adapt to a schedule that was disrupted by a late start compared to last season: "We have a much shorter preparation time than in previous years. We had 10 weeks last year, we only have 7 weeks this year. We try to put rugby on very quickly, while keeping the priority on the physical. »
In Val d'Isère, the Grenoble group will also welcome the 3 Isèrois who took part in the U20 World Cup (Eli Eglaine, Ange Capuozzo and Nika Gvaladze) and will be able to touch the ball a little more often. Not forgetting the integration of newcomers.
