The FCG will host Colomiers at the Stade des Alpes on Friday
Thirteenth in the last Pro D2 championship, just one point ahead of Bourg-en-Bresse, Colomiers wishes to live a more comfortable 2019-2020 season, within a Pro D2 that the Club knows well (9 consecutive seasons played in this championship).
Carried by the end of the season (4 wins out of the last 5 games) which saw it maintain its position on the last day, the club in the Toulouse suburbs will continue to rely on its academy, with a tightened squad, which includes several young players.
The Columérin club also wants to work in the same direction as the end of the season, as Julien Sarraute, the head coach, explained in Rugbyrama: "We worked in the same way as last season without changing anything. I'm not a fan of sudden break-up. What worked well, we kept. If the grid is the same, there have been some changes. We tried to learn from last season so as not to repeat the same mistakes and thus be more efficient and effective. »
President Alain Carré also affirmed the ambitions of his club: "I hope that we no longer play with fear in our stomachs but in a liberated way. It must also be difficult to win in Colomiers. Finally, it is more a question of trying to win the qualification or at least fighting for it, rather than fighting to be maintained. »
