Second away game for Grenoble
The FCG will travel to Aix-en-Provence on Friday for the second consecutive time, after having won in Carcassonne, to face Provence Rugby, currently second in the championship standings, with two wins, including one bonus. For the Provençals, Grenoble's reception will be the second in a row, after that of the other Top 14 player, Perpignan, last Sunday.
Back in Pro D2 last season (10th), Provence Rugby is one of the ambitious clubs of this championship, supported by an economic fabric gathered around the president of the club, Denis Philipon, CEO of Voyage Privé. To testify to this ambition, the Provençal club has made a targeted and qualitative recruitment, with in particular Yohann Montès, Damien Lagrange and Bertrand Guiry, while retaining most of its players.
On the Aix pitch, the Grenoble team will have to face powerful forwards (including Sona Taumalolo), Pro D2's best defence (22 points and only one try conceded) and the top scorer this season (Clément Darbo, 47 points)
The latest results
