How do you approach this third game of Pro D2?
"Not easy. But, here we are, we've done a good job this week. I think that since the slap against Colomiers in the first game, the boys have been working even harder, I want to say. I hope that this victory in Carcassonne will have done us good and that we will start again in the same spirit, trying to impose ourselves a little more, especially in terms of content. And try to produce a game, which we haven't been able to set up yet this year. »
Despite the victory in Carcassonne, your players' performance was far from complete?
"Yes, of course. We have defended a lot. Indeed, on the state of mind, on the commitment of the boys, there is not much to blame them for. Moreover, the result was positive. Now, we know that if we are not more precise and cleaner in terms of content, we will not always have the same result, perhaps by making the same investment, the same commitment. We really need to evolve. And quickly. In Carcassonne, there were many disciplinary offences. We also lost a lot of balloons. We had a hard time putting our game in place. And we hope that that will change this weekend. »
The Aix club is no longer the same as when you played it in 2012?
"I think it's a club that's evolving. We can already see it in its structures, the stadium, its staff. And, indeed, Aix has made a successful start to the season. In particular their first two games. A victory in Mont-de-Marsan. A victory against Perpignan. We know what we're getting into. We watched their games. Indeed, we saw a team that was more than in place. So, we're going to try to find some gaps. And play a successful game on Friday night. »
The Provençals are the favourites for this game?
"I mean, we, since the first night... it's changed a lot. But, more seriously, Aix is on two wins. We lost our first game at home. I don't know if we can talk about favorites. But, in any case, Aix receiving us, we know that it will not be easy. After that, the prognosis is one thing. We're going to see a little bit of what's going on in the field. And we're just hoping we'll continue on from our game last week. In any case, on the commitment of the boys, on the solidarity we were able to show, because it will take some. We know it's going to be a tough game. And I think the head is going to be very important. »
The group is not changing much. It is a choice to create automatisms in particular?
"There are also a lot of people injured. That's a problem too. After that, we only played two preparatory games. And, maybe we missed that third game a little bit. It was seen on our first meeting against Colomiers. We missed a little bit of rhythm. Today, indeed, it is to install the boys a little, that we continue to work on automatisms. And then, after that, there will be quite a few rotations. There are some boys who have changed. Not all teams are changed either. And, it's true that when your team wins, we tend to drive them back. We made some changes within the group. There are people coming in. Leka Tupuola joins the team. We also have the young Romain Fusier, who is getting back on the bench. These are also important signs for the rest of the group. Anyone can play on this team. But, for the time being, it remains quite stable. »
