Victory and bonus for Grenoble

The FCG received Aurillac for the fourth day of Pro D2, the second match of the "Rouge & Bleu" at the Stade des Alpes this season. 

Revenchants, following the initial defeat against Colomiers, Stéphane Glas and Sylvain Begon's players played a serious game throughout the 80 minutes, despite difficulties in setting up their game, against an Aurillac team that was particularly effective in its occupation game, especially in the first half.

Alaska Taufa will score the first try of the game. In force, the Tongan centre scored under the posts (7-3, 10'). Particularly realistic, the Isèrois will score at the end of the first half after a long 15-meter carried ball, concluded by Laurent Bouchet (15-6, 34')

The second half started in the best way for the FCG. On the dismissal, Enzo Selponi feigns and sends Raymond Rhule. The South African rearguard, who had replaced Gaëtan Germain, who was ill, rushed into the opposing camp. He then sent Bastien Guillemin behind the end line (22-6, 41')

The Aurillac players then took advantage of a weak Grenoble time to reduce the score and deprive the FCG of an offensive bonus (25-13, 62'). But the Grenoble players wanted it back. On an action in the 22 opponents, near the end line, Jérémy Valençot found a small hole to score under the posts (35-13, 74')

Thanks to this victory, the FCG temporarily took second place in the ranking behind Angoulême.
