Twelve points despite three away games
Despite the loss in Nevers, FCG started the year with a positive block. This was not necessarily guaranteed before it began.
With three away games over complicated grounds in Aurillac, Béziers and Nevers, the calendar had booked a strong start to the year 2020 for the "Rouge & Bleu". During its previous season in Pro D2, the FCG only scored one point on these three trips. With 8 points gained, thanks to two victories in Aurillac and Béziers, the Grenoble team has done better this year.

Often in trouble at this time of year, the Isère club also managed to keep up the pace of Perpignan and Colomiers, who were enjoying a "classic" block with two home games and two away games, even though the Grenoble players are now two points behind the league leaders (tied with USAP in early January).
The level should not drop in the next few weeks: Grenoble will host twice at the Stade des Alpes for the next four-match block, but it will be Perpignan and Biarritz who will challenge the Isèrois. They will also travel to Montauban and Oyonnax. In short, a block in "phases finales" mode!
