We called Jeremy Valençot

The FCG scrum-half gave us some news during the lockdown

- Hey, Jerem, how's it going?

- I'm good, how are you?

- I'm good, I'm good. You don't look like you're housebound. What's with the decorations?

- And no, this is my dad's office. Before lockdown, we were on vacation. And I was on vacation at my dad's house. And so I decided to stay there, since the last few days we were there. Rather than go back to Grenoble and lock myself up.

- Where is that?

- The village is called Frans, it's 10, 15 minutes from Villefranche-sur-Saône.

- Listen, the hairdressers are unavailable. You've had to fend for yourself. I asked my little brother to take care of my hair. At first, I went to shave it all off. And, in the end, it came to this. That's what it looks like. I've been looking like this for almost three weeks.

- It's not bad. How's living with your siblings?

- Pretty good. It's been a while since we've all been together. It's nice. Although I'm starting to miss the field a little bit. But we're all the same.

- How do you organize your day? Can you make a schedule for the prep-schools?

- Yeah, well, I make individualized programs out of what I have at home. A little prep school, a little cardio. Then I'm also lucky enough to be able to do my classes online. I try to do a little class every morning. After, recently, I try to get interested in mechanics, cylinder head gasket and timing belt will have no more secrets for me.

- Are you still studying? Where did you finish?

- I'm a third year at Staps. Normally, I had exams in early May but they'll probably be delayed. I think it's off to a bad start. I still have some files to do and I have to hand in within the month.

- Otherwise, in terms of series, video games, movies...

- I'm playing. I have my little brother's console. I play a bit of FIFA, Warzone, which is a derivative of Call Of. Otherwise, afterwards, in a serial, there I am on the Legends Desk. I also watch Mandalorian, the Star Wars series. And I watched Casa de Papel. TV is more at night, I also watch other things on TV, like Koh-Lanta, Top Chef, that kind of things...

- You're talking about Top Chef. Are you the one who cooks, or do you divide up the work?

- Basically, in the morning, my dad goes to work a lot, so my big sister and I cook, we take turns. That way, the dad comes in and it's ready.

- He's going to hope the lockdown goes on for a little while longer.  What are your plans for the end of lockdown? A big family dinner?

- Yeah, family, friends. Get out into the public places for a bit.

- Thanks, Jerem. Nice to hear from you. I'll see you soon.
