FCG conceded the draw against Montauban (28-28)

After last week's disappointment in Aurillac, the "Rouge & Bleu" were expected at the turn for this game on the third day of Pro D2 against Montauban at the Stade des Alpes.

The scheme of the first period is quite simple. The Isèrois play and try to break through the opposing defense, while the visitors are more pragmatic, being present on the ground. As a result, both teams are tied at the half of the first half (6-6, 23'). A first turning point in the game comes with the dismissal following the second penalty converted by Corentin Glénat: Benito Masilevu, under pressure, can't control the ball, the Montalbanais get it back and Mathy runs into the end zone (6-13, 25'). Both teams will enter the locker room with this gap (9-16, 40').

The second half is a completely different story. The "Rouge & Bleu" start with their feet on the floor and concentrate on the axis, before ejecting. Thus, Corentin Glénat can quickly equalize (16-16, 47'). A few moments later, it's Leva Fifita's turn to cross the line (23-19, 53').

The Montalbanais take advantage of the indiscipline of Grenoble players to pass in front of the score (23-28, 74'), but Grenoble players, by the intermediary of the unbearable Deon Fourie equalizes (28-28, 78'). Unfortunately, in the corner, Corentin Glenat misses the conversion.

The draw at the Stade des Alpes does not allow FCG to restart. It will have to do it next Thursday in Béziers, to avoid a first boulder completely missed.
