Second away game of the season
Stéphane Glas and Laurent Bouchet had similar words after the draw against Montauban: the Grenoble players must start their season, especially away from home, this Thursday in Béziers. The "Rouge & Bleu" won the first day at the Stade des Alpes in Nevers, but were then beaten in Aurillac, before conceding a draw at home against Montauban. In other words, the last two outings did not correspond to the FCG's game plan.
But, to revive itself, there are lands more hospitable than Béziers. Engrossed in the affair of the true-false repurchase during all the summer, the Biterrois also did not know the beginning of the season that they hoped for, with 3 defeats (including one at home). So, they too have an imperative need for points!
Even if the summer recruitment has been less flamboyant than what the former future owners announced, the ASBH has nevertheless strengthened itself with experienced players, such as the former castrato, Robert Ebersohn. Béziers should also build on the forward play, as evidenced by the penalty try obtained on the ball against Biarritz on the previous day.
Two former Grenoble players from Grenoble are in the Biterrois squad: Jonathan Best and Adrien Latorre.
The last results
Béziers was defeated in Mont-de-Marsan (33-10), by Soyaux-Angoulême at home (24-28) and in Biarritz (24-21)
The next games
In the next block, Béziers will go to Vannes, welcome Aurillac and move to Valence-Romans.
The last Béziers - FCG
Last January, the FCG won in Béziers (16-25), thanks to a try by Enzo Selponi and points at the feet of Gaëtan Germain.
