The Amazons have been godmothers of the Women's Cancer Centre for the past two years. As such, they mobilise every year during the month of October to raise awareness, bear witness, prevent the disease and raise funds to help researchers and carers to limit the consequences of this disease but also to better support the women who are victims of it.
October 2020 is no exception to the rule!
As part of the launch of the club's new CSR policy, this year it is all the "Red & Blue" collectives (from the smallest to the biggest) who are uniting around the Amazons for a FCG highlighting of this fight which concerns us all!
During the whole month of October all the collectives will wear a pink armband during home matches to show their support for the fight against women's cancer.
The Amazons are dedicating the match of 11.10 against Romagnat to this same fight through multiple actions:
- they will warm up by proudly displaying the colours of the Venus Project (art for the prevention of breast cancer) - these jerseys will be on sale at the stand run by the Venus association for 20€: all profits will be donated to the association.
- Frédérique Puissat (Senator of the Isère department) & Céline Ménétrier (Sports assistant for the city of Grenoble) will be present at the match to encourage the "Rouge & Bleu" and show their support for the fight against breast cancer.
- During the match, the Amazons will exchange the traditional blue sock for a current colour: pink.
- At the entrance and throughout the match, a tombola will be set up and all profits will be donated to the project "Remaining a woman during cancer" supported by the Women's Cancer Centre of the Grenoble Alpes University Hospital.
- The fictitious kick-off will be given in concert by Sophie Cizaire, Cendrine Vieux-Combe from the Venus Project and Delphine Mack Laurent, Pr Mireille Mousseau, Dr isabelle Gabelle-Flandin from the Women's Cancer Centre, who will run an awareness stand open to all for the rest of the match.
THE + :
As an official supporter of the Venus Project, the FCG has the honour of seeing its logo accompanied by that of the Venus Project on a Grenoble tramway throughout the month of October. A game/competition has been set up to win tickets for a professional team match at the Stade des Alpes.
What is the deposit? Take a photo of the tram, send it as a MP on the club's facebook to take part in the draw on 02.11.20.
