For this 5th day of the Sustainable Development Week, the theme is disability.
For several seasons now, the FCG has been lucky enough to have a quad rugby team among its teams: a handisport derived from XV rugby, ice hockey and basketball practised by motor handicapped people with four limbs in wheelchairs. This sport was invented in Canada in 19761 . It pits two teams of four players against each other on a floor. The objective of each side is to get the ball into the opponent's end zone and to do so more often than the other team.
The club's Endowment Fund aims to promote sport for all by supporting the so-called immersed teams such as the Quad Rugby team, by providing them with more human and financial resources.
During this day dedicated to the handicap, the minor groups and the SHN are invited to participate in initiations in the gym Malik Cherchari of Pont de Claix with the team of FCG Quad rugby. At the same time, a collection of corks is organised for the association Coeur2Bouchons which helps people with disabilities.
The collection points of the corks:
- at the entrance under the main stand of the Stade Lesdiguières
- at the reception of the FCG association
- at the Malik Cherchari gym in Pont de Claix (only on 04.06)
