Last week, Julien Deloire and Robin Delaitre (French women's team) came to talk to the FCG Amazons staff about the current training methods and the follow-up of the players (XV - Pôle France and Academy). Nathan Arnaud (physical trainer of the Amazons and coach of the federal team 1) proposed a visit of the infrastructures and presented the functioning of the club (tools - twice daily sessions: noon and evening ...).
He gives us a feedback on this day:
"Julien & Robin arrived on Tuesday morning, we had a tour of the facilities, they attended the lunch session and participated in the Tuesday evening session as well.
At the same time, we were able to discuss our tools (Individual Follow-up - Horizontal Profile (strength-speed) of players - GPS technologies etc.)
They are carrying out a complete tour of the Elite clubs: they started with Bordeaux, came to see us and then went to Lyon...
From our discussions, it emerged that we are one of the most structured clubs in the women's elite today, that we are able to offer the same follow-up and the same training capacity as in a XVF or Pôle gathering in Marcoussis.
We are going to continue to develop our tools and our follow-up of the players to be as close as possible to what is done up there, while keeping our specificities and the quality of our trainings".
