From the beginning the Isère had the control of the game in spite of some good reactions from the Varois who would have deserved better. Without forcing too much they scored 7 tries.

In the framework of the 8th day of the championship, the young "Red & Blue" received ASM Romagnat. During the first game, Grenoble had won 10-7. New victory against the auvergnates 26 to 12.
With this victory, the Amazons keep the 1st place of the ranking!
Rugby V
1st league tournament of the season for the FCG V rugby team. Trip to Villeurbanne to participate in the V du Bouchon tournament.
The FCG, only representative of Isère in the middle of the Rhone-Alpes clubs did not deserved! Engaged in the Poule 1 against V du Bouchon, Meyzieu, CO Lyon, the "Rouge & Bleu" finished 2nd with 1 lost match (V du Bouchon) and 2 won matches (Meyzieu, CO Lyon).
The "Rouge & Bleu" won the small final against RC Belleville 8 to 4!
In addition to the bronze medal, FCG won the Fair Play trophy following a unanimous vote by the tournament referees.
Espoirs
The young Isérois travelled to their neighbours in the Rhône on Friday evening for a friendly match against the LOU. FCG lost 35-28 with 4 tries against 5 tries for Lyon.

Amazons Fed1
Nathan Arnaud, head coach of the Amazons Fédérale, tells us about this new victory:
"We had to face a very harsh weather with gusts of wind and rain non-stop. It's the first game we've played in the rain since the beginning of the season. We started the game with a headwind and managed to score the first try of the game. The next few minutes, we suffered a try on a kick-off, then 2 penalties. Half time score 11 to 5.
Change of weather during the 2nd half, unfortunately not to our advantage: the rain has redoubled but the wind has stopped, we can't even take advantage of the wind at our backs... Finally, by occupying the opponent's field, by putting them under pressure at the foot and by putting them at fault, we manage to score 2 more tries. We get a try back, a close score (18-19) with a few minutes to go. The game ends with a penalty for us, which gives us an 18-22 win.
An important victory at the home of a direct competitor for qualification. Montpellier is a team that has never lost at home, and the girls put in another magnificent performance, showing incredible solidarity and unfailing self-sacrifice.
After this great performance, the players are resting this week to go for the finals in the coming weeks.

Léo Brissaud, head coach of the Amazons Elite 1, looks back on this victory:
"A match that was very complicated. Lons made it difficult for us once again in the conquest and on the rucks.
From the start of the match they put us under pressure by playing at home. But we scored a first try on a counter-attack from 80m.
The rest of the game was very competitive. They put us under pressure with their forward play but the girls were incredible in defence.
Finally in the second half, the substitutes brought some freshness and we got the game under control. And we scored 2 tries after a footwork and pik and go.
In conclusion, very happy with the performance in a not so easy context. The girls showed that they have the character to win this type of match away from home. And they have validated their progress by ensuring that they stay in the game and by projecting themselves very strongly on the qualification ".
