Elite 1 Championship, season 22/23 : all you need to know

New season, new change for the Elite championship.

2 pools of 6 teams: 
Still 14 for the 21/22 season, the championship is reduced to 12 teams for this new season, the objective being to homogenize the level. The composition of the 2 pools was made according to the classification of the season 21/22.
Pool 1: Lons, Montpellier, Chilly-Mazarin, Stade Bordeaux, Stade Rennais, Stade Toulousain 
Pool 2: Bobigny, ASM, Blagnac, FCG Amazones, Lille, Lyon 

The calendar:
The Elite 1 season will start late due to the World Cup being held in New Zealand from 8 October to 12 November 2022. 
The official championship will start on the weekend of 10/11 December 2022. Prior to the championship, the teams will play 4 French Cup days. 

Format: 
Among the 12 teams that make up the Elite 1 championship, the first 4 of each pool will participate in the final phases.
Only one team will be relegated to Elite 2 following a play-down with the last 2 teams of each pool.
