Gaudermen
After a two-week break, the third stage of the CD38 Gaudermen championship took place in the town of Roman.
Our players started against the wind. The match started with a lot of desire and good aggressiveness for the players of CD38. It is very logically that they found the fault from the 7th minute thanks to a try in corner.
The dynamic remained the same, and the team occupied the opposing camp without interruption. This domination resulted in another try in the 17th minute.
The players had decided to press and not let their opponents breathe, between breakthroughs, percussions and phases of possession, a third try scored at the 23rd minute rewarded this very good start of the game of CD38.
Stung in their pride, the VRDR players responded, for their first phase of play in our camp, with a try from their n°15 in the 25th minute.
However, our players reacted immediately, and our forwards scored a powerful try, concluded by the captain of the day, in the 30th minute.
A domination of all the moments, difficult to accept for our opponents of the day, which saw a beginning of scuffle starting, at the 35th minute, between the players of the 2 teams before the spirits are recovered and reconcentrate on the end of the first half.
Half time score : 5-25
The beginning of the second half saw a reaction from the VRDR players who wanted to react as quickly as possible to get back on track in this game, which had been one-sided until then. But very quickly, the CD38 resumed its march forward and put its mark on the game. It was another power try from our forwards in the 45th minute, which opened the ball for a nice series of points for our players.
Despite the widening gap in the score, the rhythm did not falter and even intensified with a try, concluding a beautiful phase of play.
Our yellow and blue players were determined to maintain their level of play until the end of the match. And it is thanks to this will that they scored 2 new tries. The first one was a great collective try in the 60th minute.
The second and last try was scored thanks to a great interception by the winger who ran at high speed to flatten the ball in the Valence goal in the 70th minute.

Alamercery
The Alamercery Cadets travelled to Toulon to face a Toulon team 2nd in the group.
The first half saw our "Red & Blue" take the lead following two tries.
Our players scored a 3rd try during the 2nd half before suffering a surge of pride from Toulon but who were unable to catch up. The Grenoble team showed a strong solidarity not to give in to the attacks of the southerners and won this match 13 to 24.

Crabos
An intense match, a "big fight", such was the match of the young Grenoble team against the Toulon team. The "Red & Blue" showed solidarity and self-sacrifice throughout the match, but unfortunately it was not enough to win.
A defeat which will remain frustrating for the team because unfortunately the referee will not validate the try which could have been the one of the victory "scored" in the last minute of the match.

Espoirs
In the first half, after a penalty try following a clear domination in the scrum (10-3 at the 20th minute), inaccuracies and fouls prevented the young Grenoble players from concretising and breaking away (10-9 at half-time).
In the second half, still penalized, the FCG Espoirs regained the lead with a nice try on the hour (17-15 at the 59th minute). But a counter-attacking try (17-22 in the 63rd minute), then a penalty (17-25 in the 71st minute) sealed the score in favour of FCG.

Amazons Elite
Léo Brissaud, head coach of the Elite 1 team, tells us about yesterday's match:
"The match was played in winter conditions, with rain and cold. We were able to take control of the game in the first half by dominating in conquest and by being rather coherent in our strategy. We scored on our strong points.
In the second half we lost the thread of the game. We were heavily penalised, we got a yellow card. And we were never able to regain control of the match until the end. We didn't manage to score on the positive actions in the opponent's camp.
It was a frustrating match, which shows the areas of progress we still have to work on. But it was a match that we were able to win despite the context.
