The young Cadets of CD38 travelled to Montpellier for the 7th and last day of the first phase of the Elite Gaudermen championship.
The first 10 minutes of the match saw our players dominate with the opening score on a penalty. The reaction of the Héraultais was very pressing and it is by a collective phase of play that the local players planted the 1st try of the game.
In the last action of the first half, Montpellier took a touch following a penalty and pushed forward as a group to the Isère goal.
Half-time score: 14-3
The match restarted with a very enterprising, hard-working and playful Montpellier team. Very quickly, the Montpellier players found the breakthrough following a collective movement, an action concretized by the back. The locals played with serenity and scored another try after a penetrating grouping. A multiplication of small mistakes and technical errors spoiled all the timid attempts of our players to react.
From the 60th minute onwards, the rhythm and intensity dropped sharply. An acceleration of the Montpellier Hérault players broke the CD38 defensive lines and allowed them to link passes and combinations to lead to a new try in the corner.
In the aftermath, a new possession of the Hérault team once again put the young Isérois in difficulty with a last try.

Amazons Reserve
Last game of the first phase of the Reserve Elite championship for the Amazons with the visit of ASM Romagnat in Lesdiguières.
Nathan Arnaud, head coach of the team, tells us about this victory:
"ASM Romagnat was a tough team, which slowed us down a lot of ground balls in particular. During this match, we were in difficulty on the conquest whereas it is a strong point since the beginning of the season.
A well constructed match that saw us take the offensive bonus with 10 minutes to go, unfortunately Romagnat managed to come back and score a last try.
We finish 8th out of 12 elite reserve teams in the overall ranking and we will be relegated to a national pool of 6, in which we will have to come out on top to play the semi-final.

The Amazons Elite 1 hosted the team of ASM Romagnat for the first day of the championship.
Léo Brissaud, head coach of the Elite 1 team tells us about yesterday's game:
"It's a good start to the championship. It's a good start to the championship, after a difficult start where we took a try straight away. We were very pleased with the team's spirit, they kept their confidence and set up the game. We are very satisfied with the commitment, especially in defence. And even if we still have some areas for improvement, with a touchline conquest in difficulty and disturbed on the ground, we scored 4 good tries.
