The young players of the Académie Fédérale and the Section d'Excellence Sportive were able to talk for a long time with some professional players yesterday evening during a meeting.
This meeting came to the end of a 4-week cycle of work and reflection on the technique in the post (TEKPOST project).
First of all, the youngsters were able to discuss different subjects and themes with the pro players:
- What has been your career path?
- How did you manage your double project?
- How do you recover after the matches?
- Do you do a lot of video during the week?
- Is it easy to be a pro?
Then, working groups per position were formed to deepen the subject of the technique in the position and thus, to ask more precise questions. This time of exchange allowed the youngest players to project themselves into the world of professional rugby, to understand the workings and the intensive work that it requires. To analyse the importance of maintaining a good academic level in parallel with the sports project to ensure a post-career future.
An evening appreciated by the youngest and the "less" young!
