Gaudermen
It is with a cloudy sky and a strong and cold wind that the Gaudermen of CD38 faced ASBH for this new day of championship.
The home side set the pace from the start of the game and took advantage of a clumsiness on the part of the Isérois to score a first penalty in the 15th minute.
Despite numerous attacks from the Yellow & Blue, the Biterrois put up a tough defence, all of this in a numerical inferiority situation due to a white card, and even awarded themselves a new penalty.
A collective reaction by the Isérois following a penetrating grouping reduced the score (6-5). On the last action before the break, the lack of discipline of CD38 offer a new penalty to the hosts who do not miss the opportunity to score 3 points.
Half time score : 9-5
Back on the field with the same trend: the Biterrois dictate the rhythm. We have to wait until the 64th minute to benefit from the Isérois click, which starts again with a collective effort from the forwards, concretized by the prop. The wind once again prevents the Grenoble striker from passing the ball between the posts.
The CD38 will touch with their fingertips the point of offensive bonus, but the try not being granted, the match ends with a short victory of the Yellow & Blue.
Final score: 9-10

Crabos
For this new day of championship, the Grenoble team travelled to Oyonnax.
During the first half, against the wind, ball retention was essential, only a penalty in favour of FCG unlocked the counter on the first 40 minutes of play.
The beginning of the second half was thunderous with 2 tries in 3 minutes, both converted. The efforts of the Oyonnaxiens are rewarded by 1 try, but the Grenoblois get the ball back and finish the game with 2 new tries!

Espoirs
Grenoble hosted Castres at our neighbours St Marcellin for this new day of Espoir Elite championship.
The Grenoble team dominated the first half. In the 5th minute, after a ruck, an inside pass sent the winger into the opposition's end zone after a sharp run. Then it was after a quick free kick and a series of rucks that the FCG U23s broke through the opposition's five-metre defence for a second try.
Half-time score 18-00.
The second half was more laborious, with the visitors from Tarn scoring two tries in quick succession, first from a hard kick and then from a penalty (18-10 at the 67th). The end of the match was more balanced, with FCG scoring a try in the corner after a magnificent cross-field pass.
Final score: 23-10

Amazone Reserve
For this first day, the Amazons Reserve received the big team of Toulouse. It is on a ground covered with a fine film of snow (snowed by our superb team of volunteers!) that the teams faced each other!
Nathan Arnaud, the team's head coach, tells us about the match:
"We dominated in terms of occupancy and scrumming throughout the game.
Unfortunately a touch and a poor defence allowed Toulouse to score several tries from their own side.
Grenoble were pragmatic as they were denied a try. The girls responded with commitment and connection, but it wasn't enough: every detail counts now.
It was a high level match!
It's encouraging for the end of the season in 2023.

Elite
For the 5th day of the Elite 1 championship, the Amazons travelled to their neighbours LOU, in the Matmut Stadium!
Léo Brissaud, head coach of the team, gives us his analysis of the match:
"We started the game with the wind at our backs. We were able to occupy the opponent's camp very quickly. This gave us a first opportunity to get behind the line quite quickly.
Then a first half where we managed to strategically manage the occupation to avoid exposing ourselves and score another try before the break.
Half time score : 00-14
