For this 4th day of the play-offs, our "Red & Blue" travelled to Lyon to meet the co-leaders !
A first half played against the wind did not prevent Grenoble from scoring twice to arrive at the break with 14 points against 3 points for the hosts.
In the 2nd half, 2 new tries completed this beautiful victory 26 to 8. A bonus win for the direct contenders for the final phases!

The youngsters from Isère put in a good performance despite the draw this Saturday against the LOU. A great match, with a lot of intensity in the contacts against the leaders of the group!
It was the "Red & Blue" who opened the score in the 4th minute with a penalty and then a try in the 6th minute, but the Lyon team gave back with a penalty and a try in the 20th minute. The Grenoble team took the lead again with another penalty and a converted try, but the home team came back with a try just before the break.
Half-time score : 15-18
The second half reveals a very different game, where neither team could cross the line. The game was decided by the number of penalties conceded... Unfortunately, Lyon won this battle and drew against a great Grenoble team.

Amazons U18
The young Amazons travelled to ASM Romagnat.
It was the "Red & Blue" who unlocked the counter in the 2nd minute with a converted try! It is necessary to wait until the 20th minute for a reply from the Auvergnates who score in their turn, the response of the Amazons does not wait, a new converted try gives a nice lead at the break.
Half time score : 5-14
The second half starts more slowly, the locals take advantage of a numerical superiority following a yellow card (the 2nd of the game) on the Grenoble side to score a try. Grenoble took control of the match with a try at the 55th and 61st minute. The Clermontoises followed up a few minutes later by crossing the line again, but the Amazons replied and scored again a few minutes before the final whistle.

Espoirs
The first try was scored in the 9th minute by the FCG Espoirs. A ball "stolen" at the back of the line by the Grenoble lock, 30 metres out, was followed by a ruck, then a quick opening and a low follow-on kick allowed them to flatten the ball in the end zone.
The spectators were treated to an enjoyable and evenly balanced game. In the 34th minute, after a scrum at 22 metres, a very quick ruck and a series of passes, the ball was sent to the opposite wing and flattened in the corner.
Half time score : 12-03
In the second half, the scenario was reversed. From the restart, a poorly taken kick-off gave Montferrand possession in Grenoble's 22 metres, which was immediately converted into a try scored in force.
The ASM hopefuls progressively took the ascendancy by taking advantage of the errors of the "Red & Blue". After a 5-metre penalty, following a Grenoble offside, the field was swept from left to right by a series of rucks, and the try was scored in the corner after a missed tackle in the 52nd minute.
Finally, in the 66th minute, after a scrum at 22 metres, a gap left by the Grenoble defence facilitated a break through the centre for a third Auvergne try.
The score did not change, and the end of the match was chopped up by injuries and players coming and going.

Amazons Reserve
A special game for the Amazons Reserve team against RAS Chilly-Massy. Indeed, on the 22.02, the Elite team of RAS Chilly-Massy announced its withdrawal from the Elite 1 championship. In fact, many players of Elite level, found themselves in the Reserve championship to come to support the teammates. However, our "Red & Blue" did not doubt and prepared this match with commitment and will!
The home team made a great start to the game with 3 tries at the very beginning of the match, but the "Red & Blue" managed to get back into the game with 2 penalties and 1 try just before the break.
Half-time score : 13-19
Nothing is lost, Grenoble are in the game, the coach's speech boosts the players who realize a 2nd half without conceding any points and go back in front!

"With an exemplary defence and solidarity (20 minutes reduced to 14), the girls showed a flawless commitment! The victory is deserved, it allows us to still believe in our chances, we will take each game one by one before doing the accounts.
The situation of the Chilly-Massy club is very sad, however we are the only Reserve team to have played against a team reinforced by Elite players. There is a kind of sporting fairness with this victory.

Léo Brissaud, Elite 1 coach, tells us about his team's performance during this Elite 1 match : Bobigny - FCG Amazones
"We are very satisfied with this away win. We were a bit slow to get into the game, but we quickly regained control, both in conquest and strategically. This allowed us to set up our game and score 3 tries in the first half.
In the second half, Bobigny came back with more aggressiveness and made it difficult for us by occupying our camp for a long time. But we defended well, which meant we didn't concede a try. We then scored two tries and took control of the game. Finally Bobigny finished the game well and managed to surprise us to score the last try.
