FCG in the colours of Pink October

For the new season, FCG is going into pink mode for the whole month of October to support the Pink October campaign and raise awareness of breast cancer screening among women, as well as raising funds for research.

For several seasons now, the Club has been committed to working with local and national institutions to spread this message, which is so important to everyone! This season, a number of actions and activities have been put in place to reach out to all the club's stakeholders and raise awareness among as many people as possible.

As sponsors of the Women's Cancer Centre at Grenoble Alpes University Hospital, the Amazons are playing a key role during this month:

03.10.23: the Ligue contre le cancer association will be holding an awareness-raising and screening workshop for the Amazones.
05.10.23: The players will be manning a stand on Pink October Day at the Cancer Centre and will be attending the opening of the VENUS campaign (an artistic campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer). It's a great opportunity for them to talk to patients, families and nursing staff.

Every member of the Club is involved in this campaign, which is why all the teams from U16 to Espoirs, as well as the 3 Amazon teams, will be wearing a pink armband during their home matches. The educators and coaches will be responsible for raising awareness among the players when the armbands are handed out. In this way, each member of the team will become an ambassador for the cause for the duration of a match, and will have all the information they need to raise awareness among those around them.

Because the professional team is the Club's showcase and because reaching as many people as possible is the objective of this campaign, the FCG will be holding its OCTOBRE ROSE match at the Stade des Alpes on 19.10.23 against Montauban:

On this occasion, the pro team and all FCG employees will be wearing pink, and all communications on the giant screens and social networks will be in the campaign colour.
The Venus works will be displayed in a partner space called "La Galerie" for everyone to admire.

The associations and institutions of the Centre de Cancérologie de la Femme, the Ligue contre le Cancer and La Cordée Rose will be invited to attend the match and cheer on the FCG. La Cordée Rose, the winner of the FCG 2023 Endowment Fund's call for projects, will give a mock kick-off to the match.
Awareness-raising spots will be shown on all the screens in the stadium, and pink activities will be on offer in the forecourt.
A pink evening will be organised after the match in the village square, with a tombola to raise funds for cancer research.
Stay tuned for details of all the activities and events taking place during the month of Pink October.
