Perpignan wins with the bonus against Grenoble

The FCG went to Perpignan for the end of the 2nd block of Pro D2. Facing a big championship, the "Red & Blue" lost foot in the second half and concede a bonus victory at USAP (42-23).

Faced with the wind in the first half, the Grenoble players try to play by hand, from their 22. This is rough, especially against the commitment of the Catalans. They are the ones who score first, with the test of Selponi (5-0, 5 ').

After a penalty of Burton Francis, it is Lemalu who kisses the addition, all in power (12-3, 18 ').

Back in the 22 opponents, the "Red & Blue" pass a second penalty by its opener (12-6, 23 '). Enzo Selponi then scored a penalty (15-6, 27 '), before the FCG scored his first try of the game. After many games, the ball is pushed aside Eddie Sawailau, who takes over on his vis-à-vis (15-13, 34 ').

Before half-time, the two scorers will have the opportunity to score, but only that of Perpignan will succeed (18-13, 38 ').

The FCG starts well in the second half. After a good contest by Lilian Saseras, Burton Francis added a new penalty (18-16 ', 42'). The Perpignan will then put a decisive accelerator: Acebes made a festival in the Grenoble defense to score (28-16, 48 '). Hans Nkinsi, guilty of a bad move on the Perpignan winger, takes a yellow card and the USAP recovers a penalty after his attempt. Perpignan scored another try in the following moments (35-16, 52 '), then a fifth try, after a penaltouche in the 5 meters Grenoble (42-16, 63').

The Grenoblois will then try to deprive the locals of the offensive bonus, but they will score a try, after the siren, by Hans Nkinsi (42-23, 80 ').

This third defeat of the season sounds like a stop for the Grenoblois, who always remain first in the standings. But they see Montauban return to 1 point, Perpignan to 4 points and Colomiers to 5 points. After a weekend without a match, the "Rouge & Bleu" will return to the Stade des Alpes on November 24, for the reception of Colomiers.
