FCG won another home game

The "Rouge & Bleu" hosted Angoulême at the Stade des Alpes for the last match of the first leg. In difficult conditions, the Grenoblois had to make a good match after the heavy defeat conquered in Angoulême last week.

The game is concentrated in the center of the field at the beginning of the game. The scorers of both teams meet each other for the first half hour (9-9, 26 '). The Grenoblois finally manage to find the fault on an action of Adrien Latorre who serves inside Teiva Jacquelain. The Polynesian marks his first try with the FCG (16-9, 29 '). David Mélé will add a penalty in the wake (19-9, 32 ').

It was thought the Grenoblois launched, but they showed too much indiscipline (a yellow card in the first half) and saw the Angoumoisins stick to the score at the break (19-15, 40 ').

In the second half, Grenoble quickly gets a new yellow card (Fabien Alexandre, 48 '). The visitors take the opportunity to score their first try of the game and to pass the score (19-20, 50 '). The Grenoblois will then have a real highlight: Teiva Jacquelain is close to register a double, but the pass for the winger was ahead. The front "Rouge & Bleu" will multiply the playing time in front of the opponent's goal line without passing it. But Adrien Latorre will pass a drop, then a penalty to regain the advantage (25-20, 68 ').

After a new yellow card (Dayna Edwards, 70 '), the Grenoblois will defend their advantage dearly. They flee first with a good contest after a penaltouche opponent, and thanks to a good defense on a new Charente pitch. On a final throw on their 22, the "Rouge & Bleu" lose the ball and, after a kicking kick, Teiva Jacquelain saves his side. The FCG will finally ensure his victory with a good defensive pressing on the last raise of visitors.

The Grenoblois win a difficult victory and remain attached to Montauban, leader of the championship. The FCG will travel to Béziers next Friday for the 16th day.
