The FCG wins, but...

  • Jérémy Valençot
  • Killian Geraci
  • Burton Francis

The Grenoblois let slip a bonus that seemed to be promised (28-14)

The Grenoblois had to continue their series of invincibility to keep Biarritz at bay and get closer to the top three.

The start of the match is largely dominated by the Grenoblois, who score quickly thanks to the foot of Burton Francis (9-0, 26 '). The "Red & Blue" blithely cross the defense dacquoise, which is obliged to commit mistakes to preserve its in-goal. The visitors, after a new illegal action, are found at 14 after the yellow card bailed by Romain David. The Grenoblois will score their first try in the wake, by Killian Geraci (16-0, 35 ')

Quickly, Dax takes a second yellow card and will suffer the assaults Grenoble. Jérmy Valençot, in the shot for the first try, scored the second just before the break (21-0, 39 ').

After the break, Burton Francis increased the gap to score with the third try Grenoble (28-0, 46 ').

The "Red & Blue" will then lose foot gradually: Etienne Fourcade must replace Leva Fifita, while Fabien Alexandre, then Loïc Baradel had to leave early in the game for concussion, then Ali Oz enters the second line, to replace Ducan Casey. With a wobbly pack, where Dayna Edwards will have to hold 80 minutes, the Grenoble conquest struggles to maintain its dominance: Dax will score two tries on his only two incursions in the 22 Grenoble (28-14, 68 ')

The Grenoblois will try to resume the bonus, but the trys will be stolen several times (Loïc Godener is exploding the ball in the goal, a melee that can not flatten, etc.).

The FCG gets a new victory, the third in four games, and returns to Montauban 7 points, 7 of Mont-de-Marsan, but concedes one on Biarritz. The fight for the qualifying places will be tight until the end!
