The FCG lost in Lyon

Lyon defeated Grenoble for the derby (34-6)

The FCG was going to Lyon for the sixth day of the Top 14. Unfortunately, the "Rouge & Bleu" lost in this derby against the very big Lyon defence.

However, the match had started well for the FCG, who scored the first points after 3 minutes of uninterrupted play (0-3, 3'). Jonathan Wisniewski then equalised for the Lyon team (3-3, 16'). The Rhodanian players then took advantage of a recovered ball to score the first try of the match (10-3, 21'). Lyon finally returns to the dressing room 10 points ahead after another penalty from the former FCG usher after the siren (13-3, 40')

The second half started like the first, with a penalty from Gaëtan Germain (13-6, 44'). The Lyon players will then shift into higher gear and punish the "Rouge & Bleu" for each of their mistakes: Mignot (20-6, 51'), Ngatai (27-6, 56') and Nakaitaci ensure the offensive bonus to the LOU (32-6, 64')

The last quarter of an hour is disjointed. The Grenoble team tried to score to save the honour, but were unable to do so.

This defeat blocked the Grenoble team in 13th place in the ranking, 3 points behind Agen (defeated at home by Pau) and 4 points ahead of Perpignan (also defeated at home by Montpellier)
