FCG in Agen for a duel against relegation

The Top 14 is back on track this weekend, with the Grenoble team traveling to Agen for a duel between direct competitors.

The star player

Facundo Bosch was one of the major contributors to keeping Agennais in the Top 14 last season. The Argentinian international had scored 5 tries in his 20 games. This season, if he has not yet crossed the line in the championship (a try with the Harlequins in the Challenge Cup), he is still a spearhead of the front row.

The former Grenoble player

There are no former Grenoble player in the agen squad.

The last confrontation

During the 2015-2016 season, the FCG won in Armandie with a score of 27 to 33. In a long 14-14 match, the "Rouge & Bleu" had resisted the return of the Agenais, in a game that was marked by the scoring duel between Burton Francis and Jonathan Wisniewski. Chris Farrell, Arnaud Héguy and Nigel Hunt scored the 3 tries of the "Rouge & Bleu".

The last games

Like the FCG, SU Agen has had varying fortunes in the Challenge Cup. In London, they were defeated by the Harlequins (54-22), then won against the Benetton Trevise in Armandie (20-19). Before the European competition, the Agenais lost in Toulouse (10-0)

Upcoming matches

The SU Agen will travel to La Rochelle at the beginning of November, then host Montpellier after the international break.
