FCG lost 14-10
The FCG had the opportunity to take, at least temporarily, the lead in Group 5 of the Challenge Cup in Agen. The "Rouge & Bleu" held out for a long time, but conceded 8 points in the last 10 minutes of the game.
Agen quickly scored a penalty kick (0-3, 5'), but the Grenoble team dominated the first minutes. Alexandre Dardet made this domination a reality and signed his second attempt in two games (3-7, 20'). The two teams will separate with a point difference at the break (6-7, 40')
The Agenais started strong in the second half, but Grenoble scored first with a penalty by Matthieu Ugalde (6-10, 51'). The hosts will further accentuate their domination, but the Grenoble defence holds up... until the 70th minute of play (11-10, 73')
After that try, the Agenais were penalised but Adrien Latorre missed his kick, unlike the agenais striker, who scored 3 points at the very end of the game to seal the game (14-10, 77')
The two teams are tied in Pool 5 before the game between the Harlequins and Benetton Trevise. In the event of an Italian victory in England, Treviso would take a big step towards qualification. On the other hand, if the Londoners win, everything will remain to be played in the last two games in January.
