A new team will wear the "Rouge & Bleu" color: 6 Overwatch players will form the FCG Esports team
More than 2 millions French people called themselves esports players, more than 5 millions watch esports. The FC Grenoble Rugby will participate to the growth of this discipline.
FCG is happy to announce the creation of the FCG Esports. Firstly, this team will play on Overwatch, whose main competition, the Overwatch League, gathered 13 millions of viewers for its Season 2 opening week. Other players on other games will be recruited in the coming months.
Michel Martinez, FCG president : "Esports is a growing field. FCG wants to help esports players from Grenoble to reach the highest possible level. It is also a way of diversification for the Club, that will reach a new audience."
The FCG Esports Overwatch team will have 6 players and 2 managers. It will have its first tournament as a FCG Esports team at the Gamers Assembly in Poitiers from 20th to 22nd April.
