Finally the Win!

Grenoble beat Stade Français (21-17) and is back in the race for the maintien

The FCG had an important match to play against the Stade Français, to hope to get closer to Agen.

From the beginning, we felt that the "Rouge & Bleu" had fangs. On the first scrum of the match, the FCG obtained a penalty, kicked by Gaëtan Germain (3-0, 6'). Re-belote, a few moments later, with another penalty won by the Grenoble forwards on melee (6-0, 13').

On their first real incursion into the Grenoble camp, the Stade Français scored (6-3, 19'). The Grenoble side were spotless in touch and recovered many balls and were able to occupy the other side. They scored two new penalties before the break (12-3, 39')

In the second half, after Gaëtan Germain scored a fifth time (15-3, 52'), the Parisians took advantage of a weak Grenoble time to make up for it with a try from Macalou (15-10, 63').

The "Rouge & Bleu" forwards, imperial in touch, in melee and on the balls, and despite the changes made after the Parisian test, continued their domination and allowed Gaëtan Germain to score two new penalties (21-10, 71')

Unfortunately, the dismissal was not well negotiated and the Parisians camped in the 22 Grenoble residents for 5 minutes, before scoring through Van Zyl (21-17, 77').

The dismissal was perfectly negotiated by the Grenoble people. The players of the Stade Français are trying to get back into the Isèrois camp, but the defence of the "Rouge & Bleu" has the last word. Grenoble even got a penalty in the last minute of the game, but Gaëtan Germain experienced his only failure of the evening, as he ran the clock to reach the siren.

This victory, the first since December, allowed the FCG to return to 5 points from Agen and widen a gap, probably definitive, with Perpignan. The "Rouge & Bleu" will host Toulon next Saturday, in a match just as important as tonight's.
