Following a call for projects launched by Grenoble-Alpes Métropole for the promotion of women's sport, the first edition of the FCG Amazones Women's Rugby Festival will take place on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at the Lesdiguières stadium, starting at 10am.
With 130 members, representing 30% of the club's total membership, the FCG is a pioneer in the development of women's rugby.
The Women's Rugby Festival is open to all, regardless of age, whether or not they are initiated to the practice of oval ballooning!
Two friendly 100% girls tournaments : rugby 5 (rugby to touch) and 7 (variant of rugby to XV) , open to teams from the region, will introduce this day before giving way to the discovery of rugby and the celebration!
All day long:
- Demonstrations of all the female and mixed rugbies of the FCG: quad rugby (wheelchair rugby), 5-a-side rugby, XV-a-side rugby
- Rugby initiation workshops, supervised by qualified educators, will allow players who are not familiar with rugby to take their first step into the world of ovals. For practitioners, specific activities and friendly matches will be organised
- The presence of Amazon players and FCG players (photos, dedications...)
- An information and information stand on FCG Rugby licences (licence offered for the end of the season: up to U16 for boys and U18 for girls)
- A refreshment bar, a BBQ, a dj, inflatable games, a photo booth, a brass band, a quiz and surprises
