"Ready? We'll see that tomorrow, but I think so"

Clément Ancely talks about the start of the Pro D2 championship and the match between the FCG and Colomiers, for which he will be the captain of the "Rouge & Bleu".

Are you looking forward to resuming competition?

"Yes, we've been looking forward to it since we resumed now since July 1st. Then, as soon as we knew the schedule, that first home game against Colomiers... Yeah, impatient. Very impatient, even. »

Are you looking forward to playing again after two months of work?

"Yeah, we've been working, already all the physical preparation. Then we moved on to strategy. Then there were the friendly matches. Now we get to the heart of the matter. In the real world, let's say. Very excited. With the new people who have just arrived. For the time being, it's going pretty well. Now, all we have to do is see on the field, what it will bring, with live balls. »

Are you confident before the start?

"In confidence? You know, it's complicated to talk about trust when it's the first game of the season. We lost our first two friendly games. But, frankly, we weren't looking at the result. That was not what mattered to us. There have been some good things. There were some less good things, which we tried to work on for the rest of the preparation, before the Colomiers match. We trust what we want to do. We believe in ourselves. After that, this year, we're going to look a little more at ourselves, rather than at others. We're going to focus on us, yes."

Is there any pressure for that first home game?

"Yes, there is pressure. But there is pressure... We would have had some outside too. You know, a team that is down from the Top 14, it is necessarily expected, whether it is at any team or at home when it receives the others. So, the pressure would have been there, whether at home or abroad. »

Are you ready?

"Ready? Look, we'll see tomorrow at 8:45, but I think so."
