Seventh FCG capes' class

Every year since 2013, at the initiative of Fabrice Landreau and Jacques Boutin, in mid-autumn, FC Grenoble Rugby honour the men and women who made it possible to build this century-old club at a ceremony that is unique in France.

For this seventh capes ceremony, hosted by Romain Magellan, the Vincent Clerc class was honoured. The French international winger, "champion of France Benjamins" with Grenoble, as President Michel Martinez recalled, presided over this ceremony, underlining in particular the pleasure he had in reuniting with some former teammates and coaches, who had helped him, in one way or another, to reach all the levels he had crossed.

This ceremony was also the occasion for the Club to honour, for the first time, two Amazons (Sylvie Bernard and Jo McCarthy), a South African player (Charl Snyman) and a player of the FCG Quad Rugby (Diego Carillo), further demonstrating that our Club is the Club of all rugbies.

The 2019 capés: Vincent Clerc, Sylvie Bernard, Joanne McCarty, Jean-Luc Debru, Maurice Liprandi, Jean-Pierre Larroche, Jean-Jacques Grand, François Di Bartolomeo, Frederic Nibelle, Franco Salomon, Diego Carillo, Gilles Camberabero, Alexandre Vallejo, Jean-Jacques Vartanian, Charl Snyman, Alain Garnier and Didier Camberabero

Several personalities of the club were awarded a cape of honour, posthumously: Bernard Gauthier, Marie-Antoinette and André Geneve, Marius Vial, Jacques Gauthier, Pierre Billon, France Allain, Georges Henry Bioud, Michel Pappas. A special thought was addressed to Gilbert Brunat, who died recently and was capped in 2016.

The ceremony continued with the traditional third half, appreciated by the capés, and to all FCG lovers.
